Team Winchester Shooters Shine At 2024 NSCA South Central Regional

Among the many accolades received at the NSCA South Central Regional, Team Winchester’s Desi Edmunds was the Super Sporting Ladies’ runner-up.

Team Winchester’s Desi Edmunds finished strong at the 2024 NSCA South Central Regional, with second places finishes in both Ladies Super Sporting and Ladies FITASC. The match was held in Fort Worth, Texas, Sept. 3-8.

Team Winchester and Team White Flyer competed at the 2024 National Sporting Clays Association South Central Regional held at Defender Outdoors Clay Sports Ranch in Fort Worth, Texas, September 3-8, with team shooters picking up Junior titles, plus several runner-up and third place finishes in multiple events.

The NSCA South Central Regional is the final stop on the 2024 National Sporting Clays Association Championship Tour, Powered by Winchester before the season finale, which will take place at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas, this October. During the 2024 NSCA Nationals, a new National Champion and Winchester Ladies Cup Champion will be crowned.

Team Winchester placements at the 2024 NSCA South Central Regional included Joe Fanizzi picking up third place in the Junior Main Event with 187/200 and the same in Junior FITASC with 173/200, plus Zach Kienbaum’s runner-up finish in Five-Stand with 96/100, and Connor Daniels landing at the top of the Junior Super Sporting and Junior Five-Stand leaderboards with 99/100 and 96/100 scores, respectively. As for Desi Edmunds, she was the Ladies’ runner-up in both Super Sporting and FITASC, scoring 93/100 in the former and 156/200 in the latter. In addition, Mike Wilgus finished third in the Veteran Main Event with 183/200, while Kayla Wilgus was the Ladies Champion in Super Sporting with 96/100.

There were 817 shooters at this year’s NSCA South Central Regional in Texas.

The 2024 NSCA South Central Regional also featured solid shooting from the competitors vying for top honors in the Winchester Ladies Cup standings.

  • Runner-up: Kiersten Sales, 418/500
  • Third place: Haylyn Hanks, 417/500

Something else to note—White Flyer targets and Winchester AA shotshells were the star of the weekend with more than a half-million targets thrown, along with more than 150,000 Winchester AA target loads put to use. With more than 500,000 targets thrown, you know it was a good weekend in Texas.
