Tell us how you began in competition shooting.

I started competing with my local high school’s Spartan Clay Target team in 2014. My dad and I thought it would be a fun extracurricular activity to be involved in.

Please share with us some of your major shooting accomplishments.

My biggest accomplishment is earning an Olympic silver medal in the men’s international skeet event at the Paris 2024 Games.

What firearms and other gear do you use for competition?

For skeet competition, I shoot a Beretta DT-11 Black 12-gauge shotgun with Federal Premium ammunition. The Beretta has an Ergosign stock that fits my hand perfectly and allows me to get a consistent mount to my shoulder every time.

Tell us about your range bag and what you carry in it besides your firearms?

For a range bag, I carry a basic Under Armor backpack, because it can hold everything I need when I go to the range. Some of the items I pack inside my range bag are tools, my shooting vest, glasses, extra earplugs and more.

What do you do in your free time?

During my free time, I enjoy working on my car, a 2017 Ford Mustang. I’ve been a gearhead ever since I was a little kid.

What would you tell someone interested in finding out more about your sport?

For anyone interested in learning more about skeet shooting, they should reach out to their local 4-H group or different shooting ranges. They might have a league you can sign up for to shoot in.

Any tips for the new shooter?

If competitive shooting is truly your passion, stick with it and always be open-minded to others regarding tips they might have for you. Everyone is different—you just need to find out what works for you.
