Winchester has announced the King Buck Classic, a new sporting clays event for sport shooters from the ages of 12 to 21 to held Saturday, April 29, at NILO, the legendary Winchester hunting and shooting sport facility in Brighton, Illinois.

With support from Winchester and other generous event sponsors, there will be more than $10,000 in prizes awarded to both the Lewis Class winners and also at random to event participants at the inaugural King Buck Classic.

This event, which is specifically for youth shooters of all skill levels, is also a great opportunity for families to enjoy a day together, while experiencing the beautiful scenery and fun competition at NILO.

In addition to the main youth event at the King Buck Classic, participants and their families can shoot trap or five-stand, along with other activities on the grounds of NILO that day. For example, there will be opportunities to meet members of Team Winchester, tour the NILO Kennels (home of two-time American Kennel Club National Champion, King Buck), shop for NILO and Winchester apparel and accessories at the gear store, play cornhole, and there is even a BB-gun range for some friendly fun. In addition, there are several lunch options and snacks from local food trucks available at NILO.

“We are excited to host this new event and provide an awesome opportunity for youth to participate in the shooting sports,” Matt Campbell, vice president of sales and marketing for Winchester Ammunition said. “NILO has a rich history, the grounds are pristine and it really is one of the finest shooting sports facilities in the Midwest.”
