On September 24-26, the NRA World Shooting Championship, presented by Magpul, will be held at the Peacemaker National Training Center in Glengary, West Virginia. The NRA will gather the world’s top shooters, as well as the next generation of competitors to test their prowess in virtually every type of major firearms shooting sports. Featuring stages in pistol, rifle, shotgun, and combined firearms, shooters will compete in 12 disciplines over three days.

What sets this championship apart is all firearms and ammunition will be provided for each stage, thus shooters will compete on a level firing line. This alleviates the need for shooters to purchase expensive new equipment for an event they might not be familiar with. Competitor travel costs are greatly reduced when the match sponsors provide the equipment to participate in the match.

The NRA’s generous corporate partners have provided more than just firearms and ammo. The “World Shooting Champion” will receive $25,000, and second and third places will receive $3,000 and $2,000, respectively. The Lady Champion will receive $10,000.

Amateur shooters will have their own prize table, with a total value of $25,000. The top five amateur shooters will be eligible for special prizes. Winners will also be randomly selected from those who complete one of the six special side matches. The side matches are separate from the overall championship, and do not affect the aggregate match score.

All competitors are eligible to win the championship for an individual stage, and competitors will be able to win multiple stages. Stage sponsors will donate a top prize for each stage champion.
