The NRA World Shooting Championship returns to the Peacemaker National Training Center in Glengary, WV, on September 15-17, 2016. Presenting partner sponsors include Kimber, Daniel Defense, Eley Ammunition, Kahr Firearms Group and JP Enterprises Performance Firearms, while Sig Sauer, Lucid Optics and Magnum Research are the match alliance sponsors for the event.

The competition attracts the top shooters from across the globe to participate in virtually every type of major firearms shooting sport, including pistol, rifle, shotgun and combined-firearm sports. The event will crown one competitor the World Shooting Champion and award a $25,000 top prize.

In total, shooters will compete for $250,000 in cash and prizes. First through third place overall winners earn cash prizes, and shooters will also earn winnings from a large Stock Pro and Amateur prize table.

Shooters progress through 12 equally weighted stages, allowing them to demonstrate skills in each of the following shooting sports: Cowboy Action, NRA Precision, NRA Action Pistol Falling Plates, 2-Gun, Five-Stand, Wobble Clays, .22 Smallbore, 3-Gun, USPSA, DMR Challenge, PRS Long Range Challenge, and America's Rifle Match.

This year, the 2016 NRA World Shooting Championship features three divisions for shooters to register in: Open Pro, Stock Pro and Amateur. New this year, the Open Pro division allows sponsored shooters to bring their own firearms and ammunition for use in the competition. The Stock Pro and Amateur divisions are open to competitors who will use provided firearms and ammunition.

Registration is now open for the 2016 NRA World Shooting Championship, available at wsc.nra.org. For more information call (703) 267-1479 or email [email protected].
