Fresh off a great 2017 when she chalked up multiple shooting sports accolades, Taurus Team Captain Jessie Harrison has done it again—winning High Overall Lady and Second Place Overall in Single Stack at the U.S. Steel Challenge Nationals. The match was held last month at South River Gun Club in Covington, GA.

The victory marks Harrison’s eighth Ladies Overall Steel National title. She had this to say about the match via her Facebook page:

“I’m honored to announce my High Lady Overall finish at the Steel Challenge Nationals! I want to thank all of my sponsors and loved ones who have stood by me and supported me along the way! Next match on the shooting schedule is USPSA Area 6, see y’all there!”

Her best Single Stack stage was number three: “Smoke & Hope” where she finished with an aggregate time of 10.36. In Open Division, her aggregate time for stage number seven “Roundabout” was 9.85.

Harrison uses two Taurus 1911 9mm single stack pistols—one set up for iron sights and the other customized for Open.

“I love using the Taurus 1911 platform for Steel Challenge,” said Harrison. “It showcases the gun and what it’s capable of in a great way!”

Additionally, Harrison is a four-time NRA Bianchi Cup Action Pistol Women’s Division National Champion.
