Jessie Harrison made a powerful return to the competition shooting world at the 2025 World Speed Shooting Championships, held at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama, from May 28 to June 1. Competing in her first match since becoming a mother—and her first since rejoining Team Taurus—Harrison showed no signs of slowing down, capturing her 18th Ladies Open title with a final time of 96.53 seconds.

Additionally, Harrison’s score ranked her sixth on the Open division overall leaderboard.

The match in Alabama marked a significant milestone in Harrison’s career. After a brief stint with Staccato 2011 that lasted less than six months, she returned to Taurus, the brand with which she’s earned many of her national and world titles. Her performance in Talladega reaffirmed that the partnership remains a winning formula.

“I’m thrilled to bring home yet another Ladies Open World Championship title to Taurus, marking my 18th victory in this category,” Harrison said after the match. “This match was particularly special as it was my first since becoming a mother, presenting a completely new set of challenges. However, by returning to the basics and relying on years of training, along with my trusted 1911 that has accompanied me through numerous championships, I overcame those hurdles and achieved another victory.”

Steel Challenge shooting demands speed, accuracy and consistency across multiple stages—and Harrison delivered on all fronts. Her transitions were sharp, her timing precise and her composure unshaken. The Taurus 1911 racegun she used once again proved its reliability under pressure.

Harrison’s 18th Ladies Open title adds to her legacy as one of the most accomplished women shooters in the action competition world. Her continued success highlights not only her personal discipline but also the performance and trust she places in Taurus firearms, both in competition and everyday carry.
