Creedmoor Sports is well-known not only for their large inventory of shooting gear at reasonable prices, but also for bringing sport shooters to their business team. The latest: All-American collegiate smallbore shooter Ben Estes. Now, he will be providing his competitive shooting expertise to sales and marketing for Creedmoor.

Estes’ love of the shooting sports runs deep. He spent the last four years as a starter on the Murray State Rifle team, based out of Kentucky. Estes has participated in four NCAA championships and received All-American honors five times. Additionally, he shot for Team USA in an international competition in Germany.

To occupy his time in college during the summer, Estes gained experience as a professional gunsmith, concentrating on Olympic-style rifles. This gunsmithing experience has allowed Estes to work on some unusual firearms, such as machine guns, anti-tank rifles, mortars, artillery and the occasional tank.

“Having employees with a strong background in the shooting sports is truly a plus for Creedmoor’s customers,” said Brent Books, Creedmoor’s sales and marketing manager. “Our customers benefit from the combined knowledge pool that our experienced employees have of competitive firearms, reloading and our competitive shooting equipment and gear in the field. Creedmoor welcomes Ben and we look forward to adding his expertise to our collective and helping our customers become more proficient at the sport they love.”

As Estes received his diploma from Murray State University this past May, and he also received recognition for earning a 4.0 GPA. In addition, he received a conference championship ring and an MSU Athletics graduation stole for his achievements with the Murray State Rifle Team. His passion for everything shooting sports related will continue after college. Estes plans to broaden his competitive resume in USPSA, 3-Gun and PRS (Precision Rifle Series) competition.
