For the smokepole fans out there, the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association (NMLRA) is hosting a Black Powder Cartridge Bonanza weekend this August 14-16 at the Walter Cline Range in Friendship, IN.

To complement the NMLRA Black Powder matches, a NRA Silhouette BPCR Regional will be held simultaneously.

According to match organizer and NMLRA Board Member Rick Weber, competitors at Friendship will have plenty to do during the August Black Powder Bonanza. "There will be Pistol, Lever Gun, Schuetzen, Trap, Skeet, Single-Shot Stalking and Double Rifle matches," he said. Factor in the NRA Silhouette match and shooters can have a nearly non-stop weekend of competition.

And to pass the time between relays, shooters can check out a large display of original and vintage black powder cartridge arms at Walter Cline's Gun Makers Hall, a large cabin located on the property.

Registration is $20 and includes one set of birds and targets. Unfortunately, there is no pre-registration due to coronavirus. Staff will register competitors on site. Learn more about the August 2020 NMLRA Black Powder Cartridge weekend at www.nmlra.org.
