Birchwood Casey’s new collection of steel and paper targets is designed to offer more variety for recreational and competition shooters. The latest additions include rimfire and centerfire steel target kits, along with a set of Wild West-themed splatter targets for pistol shooting.

The steel targets are made from AR500 steel and come in a range of shapes and sizes. Rimfire kits with 1/4-inch plates are rated for up to 400 foot-pounds of energy, making them suitable for air guns and firearms chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Centerfire options, with 3/8-inch steel, are built to handle up to 3,000 foot-pounds, covering most common rifle calibers. The lineup includes round and square gongs, animal silhouettes and IPSC-style competition targets in full-size, 66% and 33% formats. All targets feature a white powder-coated finish for better visibility and are designed with smooth, burr-free edges for safer handling.

Splatter targets
Ideal for pistol shooting, the heavy-duty assortment of Dirty Bird tagboard 12x18-inch targets from Birchwood Casey feature splatter that occurs on impact. Plus, intense contrast allows for improved visibility downrange. (Photos courtesy Birchwood Casey)

For handgun users, the new Dirty Bird Quick-Draw Cowboy targets offer a more visual and thematic experience. Printed on heavy tagboard, these 12-by-18-inch paper targets use a splatter effect to highlight shot placement, making it easy to see hits from a distance. The designs include figures like “Gunslinger Silhouette,” “Lucky Shot Bottles” and “Aces High,” adding a playful twist to standard range practice.

These new targets are designed for shooters who want to mix up their training or casual range time. With choices for different calibers, styles and skill levels, Birchwood Casey continues to grow its lineup to suit a wide range of shooting preferences.
