This month at Camp Atterbury, the Drew Cup Match, which is an International Postal match for juniors and sponsored by the National Smallbore Rifle Association of the United Kingdom, was fired during the Conventional 3-Position phase of the 2021 NRA National Smallbore Rifle Championships.

As for teams, there were three junior squads. One team of 10 juniors, which can be of mixed gender, one team of three women and a team of three men. These team matches can be fired concurrently and scores counted for more than one team.

The course of fire is an “English” Match. That is, three targets fired at 50 meters for a possible individual aggregate score of 600 points.

Team USA consisted of the following individuals: Anthony Hotko, Grant Kimberling, John Hamilton, Lara Spanic, Ashlyn Blake, Natalia Siek, Katerina Demerle, Alivia Perkins, William Kohrman and Olivia Schammel. Alternates were Grace Tappy and Catherine Dely.

Scores for each team were as follows: the 10-person team scored 5718-181X, while the three-man team finished with a score of 1718-55X. Finally, the three-woman team fired a score of 1726-62X. These scores were forwarded to the National Smallbore Rifle Association of the United Kingdom and will be judged at the end of the year. Generally, teams for the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States compete. Medals for first and second place will be awarded after the winners are determined.

Good luck to Team USA! See them pictured at the top of this article, along with their coaches.
