Chad Heckler claimed the Limited division title at the 2024 International Precision Rifle Federation World Championship, held at the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex in Grand Junction, Colorado, from September 11-17.

A 20-stage match, at the 2024 IPRF World Championship there were shooters from 23 countries that competed in three divisions—Open, Limited and Factory—spread across four different classes: Ladies, Junior, Senior and Military/Law Enforcement.

Heckler was a member of the United States Precision Rifle Association’s Centerfire Team at the 2024 IPRF World Championship. He posted a score of 140 match points and a final time of 95.66 seconds to secure victory in the Limited division. In addition, Heckler’s score was five points ahead of the Limited division runner-up, Scott Peterson.

IPRF’s Limited division requires shooters to compete with .308 Win. commercial ammunition. Heckler was shooting Lapua’s .308 Win. factory-loaded ammunition, specifically 175-grain Scenar-L ammo, which incorporates Lapua bullets and cases, along with Vihtavuori smokeless powder.

In the combined rankings for all 266 shooters that were competing at the 2024 International Precision Rifle Federation World Championship, Heckler finished in 69th place.

“I entered the World Championship with the highest level of confidence using Lapua .308 Winchester ammunition,” Heckler said. “Lapua is recognized for producing the highest quality cases for long-range competitive shooting and reloading, so it made sense to run Lapua factory ammunition for this prestigious world match. Its unprecedented precision helped carry me to victory.”

Additionally, prior to the 2024 IPRF World Championship, Heckler trusted Lapua .308 Win. ammunition to land on top of the Open division leaderboard at the 2024 Michigan Precision Rifle Challenge.
