Federal uses their own paper-hull design, including a two-piece wad that “utilizes SoftCell technology to decrease perceived recoil and produce more uniform patterns than one-piece designs.” Paper is great for situations where plastic hulls littering the landscape are an aesthetic or environmental concern.
