Magpul describes its new line of DAKA soft cases as “for those times when a hard case is overkill, and light weight and versatility are the words of the day.” Pictured above is the DAKA SC35 soft case (MSRP: $159.95).

New from Magpul are DAKA soft cases, which are more mobile and lighter in weight then the company’s DAKA hard cases. The new DAKA soft cases are available in three sizes: 35, 44 and 53 inches, all in black.

About the new DAKA soft cases, Magpul said they will “still allow users to customize their layouts inside the case without all the bulk associated with thick, heavy hard cases.”

DAKA soft case
Magpul’s DAKA SLR53 soft case (MSRP: $209.95) is the largest case in the new lineup at 53 inches long.

All three of Magpul’s new DAKA soft cases are constructed from the company’s DAKA Grit material (600D kiss-coat TPU facing, TPU backing and RF welded seams). Inside the case, firearms and other gear are secured via a MOLLE-style slotted base system. In addition, the DAKA soft cases feature lockable YKK Aquaguard zippers that make them lightweight, durable, secure and weather resistant.

Adding to the storage capabilities of the DAKA soft cases are multiple pockets, along with an ID slot and dot matrix grid on the case’s exterior. As for carrying the case, there are two external and tuckable attachment plates that allow for quick-detach sling swivels, Paraclip, MASH hook or other devices to attach a sling.

Perhaps best of all, DAKA soft cases can nest inside DAKA hard cases, if the GRID system is removed.

DAKA SR44 soft case
Like other models in the Magpul DAKA soft case lineup, the 44-inch SR44 (MSRP: $189.95) will nest inside a DAKA hard case, if the GRID organization system is removed

Besides a fully lay-flat design, the DAKA soft cases sport a MOLLE-style slotted base with five DAKA Gear Straps to secure items (one per panel), four stretch mesh magazine pockets that can hold a total of eight PMAG 25 LR/SR Gen M3 magazines (two magazines per pocket), a zippered mesh organizer pocket for smaller items, a large document pocket and an exterior card/ID slot.

As mentioned, the new Magpul DAKA soft cases are available in three different sizes, all in black color. MSRP for the 35-inch SC35 is $159.95, the 44-inch SR44 is $189.95 and the 53-inch SLR53 is $209.95. Learn more at magpul.com.
