TRACT Optics has released a new 30mm 4-20x50 first focal plane long range riflescope in the TORIC lineup, with MOA or MRAD reticle options. This new scope should prove suitable for extreme long range shooting, whether for competition or hunting. Both reticle versions are priced at $1,154.

The TORIC line sports a high definition optical system that utilizes Schott high transmission glass, extra low dispersion (ED) lens that are multi-coated for bright, sharp images and superior light transmission values—especially in the blue and violet spectrum. Additionally, the new 30mm models have glass etched reticles, 5x zoom, one-piece 30mm main body tube, high-precision turrets, and four inches of eye relief.

The scopes are water- and fog-proof, purged with Argon gas.

The scope comes in a matte graphite color with Type III anodizing, is recoil tested to 1,000g, offers side focus parallax adjustment focuses from 25 yards to infinity and includes a 3-inch sunshade.

TRACT designed and engineered the new 30mm models here in the U.S., and they are manufactured in Japan.

“TORIC riflescopes are built to our exact specifications by one of the leading optical manufacturers in Japan,” said Jon LaCorte, co-founder of TRACT. “We work as one to source the highest level of components and overall optical quality to set new standards in resolution and low-light performance. By incorporating materials such as Schott HT glass and ED lenses in our TORIC scopes—we know that this makeup is unique and proprietary to TRACT at this price level.”

A locking turret with multi-rotation zero stop has 20 MOA (10 MRAD) per rotation. Both scopes have a first focal plane illuminated reticle with 11 intensity settings with on/off positions between each level.

The new scope is compatible with TRACT’s custom turret system. Users can opt to have turrets engraved to match specific cartridges or handloads. Matching loads to the new reticles is easy via the company’s Impact Ballistic Resource web program.

“We’re very excited for our new first focal plane 30mm long range scopes to hit the market,” said LaCorte. “The long range market has grown significantly in the past several years. The emergence and popularity of competitive shooting coupled with a newfound love of long range hunting meant the time was right for us to come to market. Whether they’re competing in the Precision Rifle Series or practicing for long range big game hunting, our scopes are the perfect option.”
