Some weekends, everything just clicks. For Team Remington’s Brandon Powell, the 2025 J&G Diamond Classic sporting clays tournament was one of those weekends. Held at the Greater Houston Sports Club in Missouri City, Texas, from September 18-21, Powell walked away not just with hardware, but with a message for the rest of the sporting clays world: the king is still very much in residence.

Powell outshot a stacked field of 344 competitors in the Main Event to take High Over All (HOA) with a score of 189 out of 200. And it wasn’t just a squeaker, either—he won by a clear margin of four targets. That's the equivalent of hitting a walk-off homer and flipping the bat halfway to the parking lot.

Brandon Powell and Madison Sharpe of Team Remington turned the 2025 J&G Diamond Classic into their personal showcase, topping leaderboards and setting the pace in Texas.

But he wasn’t done. Not by a long shot. Powell threw down a perfect 100/100 in the Sporting Lite Prelim event—yes, you read that right—and followed it up with a 98/100 in Five-Stand, good enough for a runner-up finish. With more than $8,800 in prize money in his pocket, Powell’s performance was less about the check and more about the checklist: win big, shoot clean and leave no doubt.

On the women’s side, Team Remington’s Madison Sharpe made sure Big Green stayed in the spotlight. In the Lady Main Event, she finished runner-up with a 166/200, but it was her consistency across events that turned heads. Sharpe won both the Lady Sporting Lite Prelim (91/100) and the overall Sporting Lite Prelim (98/100), showing she’s not just one of the top women in the game—she’s one of the top sporting clays shooters, period.

Sharpe also added a runner-up finish in Lady FITASC with a 78/100 and took third in Lady Five-Stand at 89/100. If Powell was the hammer, Sharpe was the scalpel—precise, poised and podium-bound in multiple events.

All told, 474 shooters showed up to Texas to test their skills at the J&G Diamond Classic. Only a handful walked away with trophies. But for Team Remington, it was more than just a strong showing—it was a statement. Their shooters aren’t just showing up. They’re taking over.

And while others will head back to the range looking for answers, Powell and Sharpe are already thinking about their next targets.

Stay sharp, folks.
