Springfield Armory is rolling out a new packaging approach for its SAINT line of AR-15 rifles: instead of routing buyers through a rebate program to claim bundled accessories, the company is building them into the SKU itself. The new SAINT Gear Pac announced this week ships with a factory-mounted optic, four magazines and a carry bag, all for an MSRP of $1,368.

The centerpiece of the bundle is a Viridian VENTA 2-MOA green-dot sight, pre-installed at the factory on a 1.41-inch co-witness riser. That mounting height lets shooters line up the dot with standard iron sights through the same sight picture.

Viridian builds the VENTA from 6061-T6 aluminum and it holds an IPX7 rating for water resistance, plus the company claims up to 30,000 hours of runtime from the single CR2032 battery that ships in the housing. An instant-on feature wakes the optic when it detects movement, sparing users the fumble of hunting for a power button in a hurry.

Alongside the optic, each SAINT Gear Pac includes four 30-round Magpul PMAG Gen M3 magazines—a spec that’s become something close to a default across the AR-15 world. The polymer mags use an anti-tilt follower and reinforced geometry that have made them a mainstay with military, law enforcement and civilian shooters alike. Rounding out the kit is a zippered rifle bag with dedicated magazine pockets, sized to carry the rifle with its optic still attached.

Springfield Armory says the bundled accessories represent more than $200 in added retail value over the base rifle configurations. The more interesting piece, though, is the distribution model. Rather than running the Gear Pac as a limited promotion tied to a redemption code or mail-in claim, Springfield is treating it as a permanent catalog offering with its own SKUs on select SAINT models. Buyers walk out of a participating dealer with everything already in the box.

“If you are looking for a high-quality AR packed with all the right accessories, Springfield Armory’s SAINT Gear Pac offers you a remarkable opportunity with your purchase,” said Drew Herbst, the company’s National Sales and Law Enforcement Manager. He pointed specifically to the factory-mounted optic as the element that sets the bundle apart from typical accessory promotions.

For shooters who would otherwise buy a bare rifle and then spend an afternoon mounting an optic and shopping for a case, a SAINT Gear Pac is a solid choice.
