Daisy Puts Bone Collector Branding On Its 1999 Lever Action

Daisy Outdoor Products has added a Bone Collector edition to its Model 1999 lever-action BB gun.

Developed with Michael Waddell and Travis “T-Bone” Turner of the hunting television series that shares the name, the 1999 designation refers to the model line rather than a year, and this version keeps the mechanical layout while changing nearly everything youth shooters and hunters look at.

A True Timber XRC camo fore-arm sits ahead of the receiver, the latter featuring the Bone Collector logo. The stock and trigger arrive in the show’s signature colors, a muted green paired with a chartreuse trigger blade that photographs about as loudly as it sounds. Underneath the branding is a spring-powered .177-cal. BB gun with a 650-shot reservoir and a smoothbore steel barrel sending them in the 350 fps neighborhood. A crossbolt safety is there to block the trigger. Daisy lists the rifle at 35.4 inches and 2.2 pounds, and it retails for $49.90.

Two features matter more than the camo for the audience Daisy is aiming at. Large loop levers cycle with less effort than standard loops, a key buying point for a 10-year-old working the action independently and a 10-year-old handing the rifle back to an adult after every shot. In addition, the sights are a fiber-optic front paired with an adjustable rear.
