Pre-Squad Now For The 2023 ATA U.S. Open

The Amateur Trapshooting Association’s 18th U.S. Open Trapshooting Championships will be held May 31-June 4 at the World Shooting & Recreational Complex in Sparta, Illinois.

Pre-squadding is now open for the 2023 Amateur Trapshooting Association U.S. Open. The match will be held May 31 to June 4 at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta, Ill.

More than 300 ATA trophies will be contested at the match, with 1,400 registered targets.

 

Shooters may request classification from Saturday, April 29, to Sunday, May 28. Pre-squadding will be available for competitors from now until 6:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, May 23.

There will be 13 numbered events at the 2023 ATA U.S. Open, culminating in the High-Over-All Championship and Browning U.S. Open High-All-Around Championship.

Plus, 2023 U.S. Open attendance pins will be handed out to all shooters, and other ATA achievement and milestone pins will also be available.

Ed Wehking, the president of the Amateur Trapshooting Association, said the 2023 U.S. Open “is a great opportunity to visit the home grounds of the Amateur Trapshooting Association and get a feel for the Grand American.”
