The 2024 CMP Talladega 600 was held November 8-14 at the Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama, with more than 330 participants competing in outdoor rifle and pistol events.

Andrew Granbury, 61, of Germantown, Tennessee, went on to claim multiple pistol titles of his own, including in the Military & Police Service Pistol and As-Issued 1911 events. Eric Herrin, 61, of Raleigh, North Carolina, was the overall pistol aggregate winner with a score of 1553-24X.

Kelvin Alleyne, 58, of Jacksonville, Florida, led the Any Sights portion of the Pistol 2700 Aggregate with a score of 2470-46X, while Sgt. 1st Class Lawrence Carter, 43, of Fort Eustis, Virginia, posted a combined score of 2468-56X to win the Metallic Sights category.

In rifle, Charles Clifton, 17, of Waverly, Ohio, earned his first EIC points toward a Distinguished Badge after claiming the overall win in the M16 Rifle Match with a score of 386-6X. Clifton was just one of two juniors in the match, which accompanies the Rifle Marksmanship 101 Course.

Keith Schachle, 66, of Jasper, Georgia, was the top Four-Gun Aggregate competitor with a score of 1146-30X. This competition is a culmination of scores from the Garand, Springfield, Vintage and Modern Military rifle matches. Earning the Three-Gun title was Chance Cavin, 37, of Madison, Mississippi, with a score of 855-21X. Schachle and Cavin also found individual wins in the Vintage Military and Carbine Matches, respectively.

The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit’s Staff Sgt. Verne Conant, 28, secured three titles during the course of the Talladega 600—overtaking the Rifle EIC, Congressional 30 and 1600 Aggregate Matches. He also paired up with teammate Spc. Adam Fitzpatrick, 29, to claim the Dixie Double match.

Fitzpatrick also clinched the Service Rifle Mid-Range 2x600 with 800-43X.
