The 2024 Florida State Precision Pistol Championships were fired at Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club in Jacksonville, Fla., the weekend of October 19-20. Both Saturday and Sunday were beautiful days as 29 shooters from eight states competed in a great two-day event.

With a score of 2575-94X, Nestor Pena was this year’s match winner, as well as the High Civilian, High Senior and High Veteran category winner. He was awarded the Florida Sport Shooting Association trophy as this year’s Florida State Precision Pistol Champion by Florida Sport Shooting Association Pistol Director Sue Carter.

Seth Innes finished second on the overall leaderboard with a score of 2551-70X, with third place going to Robert Fanucci with 2542-78X.

Keith Sanderson won the High Master Class, with Tim Goszka taking Master Class honor and High Grand Senior winner, followed by Mark Goodman, who won the Expert Class. Mark Fiji took the Sharpshooter Class title, also winning the Metallic Division. In addition, the High Marksman and High Woman titles went to Sheri Tanner.

Jacob Milich won High Service and Jack Ragsdale topped the High Police category leaderboard. As for the .22 Only Aggregate, John Hollingshead was the winner.

In the NRA Distinguished Revolver Match, Seth Innes was the victor, with Jacob Milich the runner-up and the high non-distinguished competitor, unofficially earning the bronze and six points toward his distinguished title. In addition, Derek Dattner finished in third place.
