When SHOT Show 2026 opened its doors last week, Gemtech used the Las Vegas stage to unveil the Nebula 5.7, a new direct-thread suppressor designed around the fast, small-caliber 5.7x28 mm cartridge. The company describes it as its first hybrid design to emerge from expanded additive manufacturing capabilities, combining a 3D-printed titanium core with more traditional steel components.

The Nebula 5.7 is built with compact platforms in mind. At 7.1 inches long and 1.2 inches in diameter, it keeps overall length in check while tipping the scale at a svelte 9 ounces. The tube is stainless steel, finished in black high-temperature Cerakote, while the mount uses an Armornite treatment for added wear resistance. A 1/2x28 thread pitch allows direct attachment to common hosts, and the suppressor is also compatible with Plan B–style universal muzzle devices, broadening its mounting options beyond direct-thread use.

Inside, the titanium core is optimized specifically for the 5.7x28 mm round but is also rated for .22 LR, .17 HMR and .22 WMR rimfire loads. A stainless-steel blast baffle sits at the front of the stack to absorb the initial pressure and heat, a choice aimed at extending service life and supporting more demanding firing schedules, including full-auto use. Gemtech lists minimum barrel lengths of 3 inches for both 5.7x28 mm and .22 LR, making the suppressor suitable for compact firearms.

Rather than chasing extreme numbers, the Nebula 5.7 appears focused on balance. According to Gemtech product manager Corey Beaudreau, the goal was to tune performance for the 5.7x28 mm cartridge without trading away durability, sound reduction or weight, an approach made possible by combining 3D-printed titanium with steel where it matters most.

The Nebula 5.7 is priced at an MSRP of $549 and is expected to appeal to shooters running FN-style pistols, carbines and rimfire platforms who want a single, lightweight suppressor option. More details are available directly from Gemtech.
