STI, the inventors of the 2011, has rebranded itself as "Staccato," the same name as the company's line of duty and personal defense-oriented pistols that were released last year. The newly dubbed Staccato says "the Staccato brand reflects the company's vision for the future."

"Because Staccato pistols are duty proven, reliable, durable, and easy to shoot well, they are a great choice for shooters of all skill levels. Whether your needs are duty, home defense, CCW, or just hitting the target every time at the range, our pistols will increase your confidence and help you improve," said Nate Horvath, the CEO of Staccato, who is also a USMC veteran.

According to the company's press release about the rebranding, ownership and staff have not changed. There will be a Facebook Live chat on Thursday, May 28 with Staccato Chief Experience Officer, Tony Pignato, who will discuss the name change and field questions from the audience.
