Blackhawk-sponsored athlete Ehea Schuerch landed a second-place finish in the Women’s Elite division at the 2023 Tactical Games National Championship conducted in Texas, November 3-5.

The match was held at three different venues—a run at River Place Trail located in the hills of Austin, Texas, plus stages at the Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, Texas, and the Staccato Ranch in Florence, Texas.

Her final score was 6072.36, which not only placed her second in the Women’s Elite division, but also 11th in the overall field of 180 competitors. Schuerch finished the match 539.83 points behind Jenay DeCaussin, this year’s Women’s Elite division champion. There were 11 total competitors in the Women’s Elite division at the 2023 Tactical Games National Championship.

Schuerch’s latest victory marks her fifth podium finish of the 2023 Tactical Games season, which was her first year representing Blackhawk.

“Looking back at this year, I am proud of the growth I’ve achieved and the obstacles I overcame,” Schuerch said. “Taking second place at Nationals was no walk in the park as there was lots of awesome competition out there. It was easy to tell all the women in the Elite division had been putting in some serious work and it was impressive to see.”

During her second year competing in the Tactical Games, Schuerch has already amassed an impressive resume—bringing home top honors in both individual and team competitions. A native of Spokane, Wash., Schuerch began competing in fitness sports such as CrossFit and Hyrox racing in 2016, moving on to Tactical Games in 2022. She is a longtime Corrections Officer for Spokane County and was the first woman selected to the Spokane County Jail CRT team.

Throughout the 2023 Tactical Games season, Schuerch was running the following Blackhawk gear: the Foundation Series plate carrier, Multi-Point slings, T-Series holster, Jacket Slot Leg Strap Adapter and Foundation Series Tactical Belt.

“I love running Blackhawk gear because I know it is extremely durable and reliable,” Schuerch said. “It gives me the confidence to compete as hard and rough as I need to, knowing that it will still function properly.”
