Team Winchester’s Joe Fanizzi secured his latest victory at the inaugural Jack Link’s Cup, held at the Quail Creek Sporting Ranch near Okeechobee, Fla., February 15-20. He is the newest member of Team Winchester.

Fanizzi, a freshman at Texas A&M University, made a rushed trip to Florida around his class schedule to compete at the match. Despite the hurried travel plans, he dominated with a five-target lead in the main event. The win comes after Fanizzi’s recent title of national champion at the 2021 National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Nationals.

This was the first year for the Jack Link’s Cup, which sold out with more than 750 total shooters vying for over $150,000 in prize money. Winchester Ammunition participated as one of the main sponsors for the match, and Winchester ammo was available for sale to all competitors on-site at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch.

In addition, Team Winchester members Zach Kienbaum secured a first-place win in Master Class (third overall), while Connor Daniel earned the Sub-Junior runner-up title.

The next Jack Link’s Cup will be conducted February 14-19, 2023 at the same venue. According to the Quail Creek Sporting Ranch Facebook page, “it’s going to be bigger, better and more prize [money].”

The next stop for Team Winchester this season will be the Gator Cup in Griffin, Ga., taking place March 15-20. Learn more at winchester.com.
