Team Winchester Shines At 2024 Gator Cup Sporting Clays Tournament

Team Winchester shooters Connor Daniel, Mike Wilgus, Desi Edmunds and Zach Kienbaum put on an impressive showing at the 2024 Gator Cup, held at Back Woods Quail Club in Georgetown, South Carolina, March 12-17. The four Team Winchester sporting clays competitors brought home top honors in multiple events at the match.

With more than 750 shooters in attendance this year, the Gator Cup: Powered by Winchester, has developed a reputation as one of the biggest and best sporting clays tournaments in the country.

Notably, Mike Wilgus shot a 100 straight in the Super Sporting event, a major achievement that added to his overall event accolades. Wilgus captured the High Over All title in Super Sporting with his 100 targets. In addition, he landed fourth place overall and the Veteran High Over All title in the Main Event with a score of 183, runner-up in FITASC (90), second place (VTCH) in the AIM Shooting Prelim (97) and Veteran High Over All in Five-Stand (94).

Additional Team Winchester placements at the 2024 Gator Cup include Connor Daniel, who was the Junior High Over All in the Main Event and third place overall with a score of 184, also earning Junior third place in FITASC (84) and AIM Shooting Prelim third place (97, JRCH).

Top sporting clays shooter Desi Edmunds was the Main Event Lady runner-up with a score of 167, as well as ranking third in the Five-Stand Lady (91) and Super Sporting Lady (93) events.

As for Team Winchester’s Zach Kienbaum, he secured third place in the Five-Stand event with a score of 96.

Winchester AA target shotshells were a top choice among the 759 competitors at the 2024 Gator Cup sporting clays tournament, with pallets of ammunition available on the grounds of Back Woods Quail Club during the match.
