HAINESVILLE, Ill. — Team Winchester and White Flyer shooter Kevin DeMichiel spent five days at Northbrook Sports Club chasing a Main Event title he never quite caught. Everything else went his way.

DeMichiel posted a 181x200 across the 2026 NSCA North Central Regional Main Event, six targets adrift of champion Todd Hitch on a layout that split the 200 birds over two 66-target courses and one 68-target course. He answered elsewhere on the schedule. His 97x100 in the 100-target FITASC competition took that title outright, and a 94x100 in Five-Stand put him second in the discipline.

Northbrook hosted the regional July 8-12 with a schedule deep enough to keep shooters busy from Wednesday morning through Sunday afternoon—Preliminary Sporting, Super Sporting, Five-Stand, American Field Sporting and a full run of sub-gauge FITASC and sporting clays events in European rotation.

Kayla Wilgus came closer than anyone to a Team Winchester championship in the Main Event. Her 166x200 finished one target behind Lady champion Karen Miles, a margin that came down to a single bird somewhere across three days of shooting. Wilgus also placed second in the Winchester Ladies Cup PRO/M/AA standings with a 336x400.

Desi Edmunds opened her week with a win, taking the Prelim Lady title at 89x100. She followed with a 90x100 in FITASC for second in the Lady division behind a field that pushed the scores up all week.

Connor Daniel found the podium twice. His 95x100 placed third in FITASC and his 94x100 earned third in Five-Stand—the same score DeMichiel posted for second, separated only by the tiebreak.

Winchester serves as the official ammunition and target supplier of the NSCA Championship Tour through its AA shotshell line and White Flyer targets, and as title sponsor of the Winchester Ladies Cup. The 2026 Ladies Cup carries $40,000 in added payouts and 120 cases of AA target shotshells across the tour, with Pro, Master and AA competitors shooting for $5,000 per stop across the Main, Super Sporting and Five-Stand events.

Complete results are posted at the Score Chaser website. The 2026 NSCA Championship Tour, Powered by Winchester heads next to Game Unlimited in Hudson, Wisconsin, for the 2026 U.S. Open, running August 11-16.
