Gallery: 2016 USPSA Virginia/Maryland Section Match

The uncooperative weather left shooters wet and muddy at the 2016 U.S. Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Virginia/Maryland Section Match hosted by the Fredericksburg Rod and Gun Club this past May.

Competitors squadded on Saturday and Sunday were forced to contest with 1.25 inches of rainfall, chilly conditions, and coagulating mud that would suck the shoe right off your foot. Anticipating the foul weather, Match Director Scott Cook brought in extra tents and heaps of gravel to fill mud pits on the especially soggy stages. The volunteers kept the match running smoothly as if by hydropower and with a good sense of humor. Shooters shared tips on surviving, I mean, succeeding in a rainy match.
