HALLSVILLE, Mo. — Sally Talbott already knew her way around the top of an action pistol leaderboard. At the 2026 Bianchi Cup she added another line to the résumé.
Talbott, who shoots for Walther Arms, won the High Woman title at the 2026 Bianchi Cup Action Pistol Championship with a final score of 1912-153X. She also claimed the Open .22 Champion honor and finished as runner-up in the Open division, a strong week against a national field of the sport's best action pistol shooters.
A member of Team Accuracy X and a former shooter with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Service Pistol Team, Talbott has the kind of background the Bianchi Cup tends to reward. Courses of fire at the match test speed, accuracy, discipline and consistency across multiple events, and the competition has earned its reputation as one of the toughest proving grounds in the discipline.
Held at its longtime home of Green Valley Rifle and Pistol Club, the Bianchi Cup has been run by CMP since the NRA handed over the reins in 2023.
Talbott's High Woman win also came with hardware of a different sort. Walther Arms partnered with A Girl & A Gun to award the winner a donated Patriot Q5 Match pistol, a collaboration rooted in supporting women in the shooting sports.
“We were proud to partner with A Girl & A Gun to support the High Woman award at this year's Bianchi Cup,” said George Norton, Director of Sales and Marketing, Competition Channel, Walther Arms. “Sally Talbott is an outstanding competitor and a great representative of the discipline, focus and consistency this match demands. We are honored to recognize her performance with the Patriot Q5 Match.”
