Benelli at SHOT Show 2023 earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nev., announced the expansion of its Lupo lineup this year with two new calibers in a walnut stock platform.

The Benelli Lupo bolt-action rifle in AA-Grade satin walnut is ideal for shooters who appreciate the look and feel of a classically-styled wood stock rifle. Previously available in .300 Win. Mag. and 6.5 mm Creedmoor, the walnut stock Lupo is now offered in .308 Win. and .30-06 Sprg. Both rifles are available with 22-inch Crio-treated barrels with 1:11-inch right-hand twist, and at the muzzle end a 5/8x24 thread. The barrels are protected with the same Benelli Surface Treatment (BE.S.T.) as featured on many Benelli long arms, such as the Super Black Eagle series shotguns. BE.S.T. offers protection against rust, corrosion and abrasion.

Benelli Lupo
Length of pull is adjustable from 13.8 to 14.75 inches. MSRP: $2,199.

The Benelli Lupo sports an ingenious chassis system, which hosts numerous features that enhance comfort and precision performance. Among these enhancements are a free-floating barrel attached to a hardened steel barrel extension bedded to a steel block in the chassis-style alloy receiver, along with a sculpted bolt with three large locking lugs and 60-degree throw for precision lockup and smooth action. The Lupo trigger is adjustable from 2.2 to 4.4 pounds and Benelli said it will significantly reduce shooter-induced shot disturbance.

Integrated into the Lupo’s walnut stock is Benelli's Progressive Comfort system. Derived from the same system found on select Benelli shotguns, Progressive Comfort is a combination butt pad and three-stage recoil reduction module that reacts to recoil pulse via multi-stage buffers housed inside the module, maximizing recoil absorption across multiple cartridge loads. Additional features include stock spacers to adjust length of pull, as well as trigger reach spacers for customizing trigger reach.

A five-round, double-stack detachable box magazine is included for overall capacity of five-plus-one rounds.

MSRP is $2,199 for the Benelli Lupo bolt-action rifles in the new .308 Win. and .30-06 Sprg. chamberings. Go to benelliusa.com to learn more.
