In the quiet hills of southern Michigan, with the cracks of competition shotguns echoing across the fields of Hillsdale College’s John A. Halter Shooting Sports Center, Team Winchester and Team White Flyer standout Dania Vizzi once again proved why she’s one of the most consistent names in skeet shooting.

The Paris 2024 Olympian captured silver at the 2025 USA Shooting Skeet National Championship, held May 21-25, in a final that was as tense as it was thrilling. Vizzi walked away from the match with two open finals points, only one point behind the leader and gold medalist in the women’s skeet event.

She wasn’t alone in the spotlight. Sam Simonton, a rising star and Sergeant in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, edged out Vizzi for gold in a nail-biting finish. Simonton, the reigning ISSF World Cup Final champion, added another accolade to her growing international resume, while Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medalist Amber English rounded out the podium after securing the bronze medal.

Vizzi competes using the Winchester AA International 24 gram #9, 1,325 f.p.s. target load—a solid choice for top-tier competitors.

“Securing the silver medal at the 2025 Women’s Skeet National Championship is a testament to the dedication and precision that Dania brings to the sport,” Winchester Ammunition Senior Director of Marketing Jason Gilbertson said. “Dania’s consistent performance underscores her status as a leading figure in skeet shooting. We’re excited to watch Dania and our other world-class athletes throughout the 2025 shooting sports season.”

Known for her poise under pressure and razor-sharp focus, Vizzi delivered a performance that not only earned her a spot on the podium but also secured her place on the 2025 USA Shooting National Skeet Team and the ISSF World Championship Team roster.

This October, she’ll travel to Athens, Greece, to compete at the 2025 ISSF World Championship, alongside Simonton and six-time Olympic medalist (and fellow Team Winchester and White Flyer shooter) Kim Rhode. The trio will represent the U.S. as part of a women’s skeet team that blends experience with emerging talent.

The full 2025 USA Shooting National Women’s Skeet Team roster includes:

  • Dania Vizzi (Paris 2024 Olympian)
  • Sam Simonton (Paris 2024 Olympic alternate)
  • Kim Rhode (six-time Olympic medalist)
  • Lia Nelson
  • Caitlin Connor
  • Gracie Hensley

The women’s skeet athletes named to the 2025 ISSF World Championship Team are:

  • Dania Vizzi
  • Sam Simonton
  • Kim Rhode

Vizzi, who represented the United States at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, continues to perform at a high level on the national and international stage. Her silver medal performance at the 2025 USA Shooting Skeet National Championship reinforces her position as a consistent and competitive presence in women’s skeet shooting.
