Leading rimfire ammunition manufacturer ELEY has made significant investments in .22LR competition within the United States, such as the Practical Rimfire Challenge that debuted earlier this year. But, they aren't done yet. The company recently announced their partnership with two key players in the rimfire benchrest worldthe American Rimfire Association (ARA) and the Professional Shooting League (PSL). ELEY wants to help promote and develop the discipline of rimfire benchrest shooting worldwide. The recent financial help from ELEY should help ARA and PSL foster matches that meet the demands of the skilled shooters in the U.S that participate in this sport.

Benchrest is the pinnacle of precision for .22LR rimfire competition. ELEY is committed to help expand the sport. “This support by ELEY will help us bring .22LR benchrest to the forefront of shooting competitions,” said Dan Killough, director of ARA and PSL.

“With the expansion of benchrest, it gives shooters a platform to enjoy and participate in rimfire competition that previously may not have been available to them,” remarked Mike Corkish, ELEY director of sales for North America.

ARA was started in 1998 by a group of .22LR shooters who wanted an organization for competitive .22LR benchrest competition. Over the past decade ARA has expanded to two divisions―Unlimited and Sporter. The goal: continuing the vision of the ARA founders by staying true to .22LR shooting.

PSL was founded as a benchrest organization for true precision shooting professionals. With the growth of rimfire benchrest, there was a need to have a professional organization to which shooters would be rewarded for their hard work and training.

Based out of Birmingham, England, ELEY is well-known as a leader in .22LR ammunition manufacturing―providing innovative products to improve performance and enhance the enjoyment of target shooting. The company strives to provide products that help fulfill competitive shooting ambitions.
