Federal Premium Ammunition is the new official shotshell ammunition sponsor to USA Shooting.

USA Shooting’s mission is to prepare U.S. athletes to win Olympic medals, promote shooting sports activities throughout the country, develop coaching and training programs, and help with the development of the next generation of competitive shooters. Additionally, the organization is preparing athletes for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

I am proud to welcome Federal Premium to our team,” said USA Shooting CEO Keith Enlow. “The gold-medal aspirations of our athletes and organization requires us to engage partners that embody the same Olympic mindset and drive, with a willingness to support America’s shooting team and showcase our athletes and sport in new, exciting ways. We have athletes in need and it is this type of sponsorship support that truly allows them to train and compete around the world in pursuit of their Olympic and Paralympic dreams.”

America’s shotgun athletes earned 13 World Championship medals last year, and have earned a whopping 27 Olympic medals in total. As part of the new partnership, Federal Premium will collaborate with USA Shooting on marketing efforts. Coming soon: specially marked boxes of Gold Medal shotshells, pistol and rifle ammunition that should help build greater awareness of USA Shooting.

Federal will be providing Gold Medal shotshells to support U.S. shotgun athletes in their mission to win medals as they represent the United States at the international level of competition.

“High-performance Gold Medal rounds have a rich tradition of breaking records and achieving victory in competitions ranging from local matches to national championships and the world stage,” said Federal Premium President Jason Vanderbrink.

Federal Premium Gold Medal shotshells are popular for trap, skeet and sporting clays worldwide. For decades, Gold Medal rounds have broken world records and won top honors at prestigious shoots like the Amateur Trapshooting Association Grand American. The enhanced design of new Gold Medal Grand shotshells (introduced in 2017) builds on that tradition with less recoil, reliable ignition, improved patterns, harder shot and maximum downrange power.
