BB guns have long been a staple for youth shooting sports—but Daisy just loaded that tradition into the 21st century. Meet the Daisy Smart Target System, a real-deal shooting setup that blends live-action marksmanship with monster-blasting mobile games.

You heard right: You can now take aim at animated beasts on your iPad using a genuine Daisy Red Ryder BB gun. This isn’t just simple target practice—it’s interactive gameplay that merges augmented reality with live shooting. It’s like Duck Hunt got a Wi-Fi upgrade.

At the heart of the system is a high-tech target stand equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi camera. Once connected to your smartphone or tablet via Daisy’s free app (iOS and Android), it instantly detects every shot, tracks your score and displays animated feedback on-screen. Hit a monster on the paper target, and it reacts in real time on your device. It’s as if your backyard came alive with gameplay, and all you did was pull the trigger.

Setup is remarkably simple: Prop up the stand, sync to the app and start playing. Whether you’re competing against friends or grinding through monster levels solo, the Daisy STS delivers instant feedback, skill improvement and a healthy dose of fun. And yes, it still teaches gun safety and accuracy, just with a few more fire-breathing monsters.

MSRP for the Daisy Smart Target System is $199.90. Daisy is calling this a beta launch, meaning you’ll be one of the first to test the system, and help shape its future. Buy it now on the Daisy website, and you’ll get the Daisy Smart Target System, a free Daisy Red Ryder rifle (yes, that Red Ryder) and $60 off the full retail price. But take note: this early edition is final sale and may evolve over time.
