Magpul’s new MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight uses a hood on the front sight post instead of the standard wing-style sight. Essentially, when placed in proper relation with the MBUS Pro rear sight, the new hooded front sight allows for an aiming point that acts as a diopter.

The new sight is built from steel with a QPQ finish, similar to other Magpul MBUS Pro sights.

The front post can also be rotated to change widths depending on the shooter’s needs, and it includes a toolless elevation adjustment knob as well.

Different widths are.04-inch for match shooting and .06-inch standard widths. Additionally, detents will keep the sight in place whether stowed or deployed, and it rides at the standard height so the sight works with all other rear sights.

Height above rail at the tallest point when stowed is .432-inch, and the MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight takes up only 1.71 inches of rail space when stowed. When deployed, its stands at the standard AR sight height.

Available in black color, MSRP for the Magpul MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight is $94.95. Go to magpul.com.
