Walther Arms recently announced the launch of the all-new polymer frame PDP Match into the 9 mm performance duty pistol lineup. This new pistol joins the recently launched PDP Match Steel Frame 9 mm pistol from Walther.

In addition to the full-size polymer frame, the new PDP Match Polymer includes a five-inch barrel (1:9-inch twist), dynamic performance trigger and 18-round magazine.

Optics-ready, the Walther PDP Match Polymer has a five-inch barrel and a ported, tenifer-coated slide.

Topped with a tenifer-coated slide made of steel that sports strategic slide cuts, the PDP Match Polymer also has an aluminum magazine well and base pads, ambidextrous magazine release and performance duty grip texture. In addition, the slide has uniquely designed protruding serrations.

More from Walther about the PDP Match Polymer: “Crafted with a balance of function and performance-based firepower, the PDP Match is the epitome of durability, endurance and precision. The rust-resistant, full-size polymer frame is capable of withstanding high temperatures to support firing endurance and keeps the longevity of the firearm regardless of the elements it’s in. The larger capacity magazine, along with an aluminum mag well and basepads, not only exudes style but brings efficiency to magazine changes. Add in the tenifer coated slide adorned with strategic slide cuts, and the result is a handgun that is lightweight and sophisticated.”

Overall length of the Walther Arms PDP Match Polymer is 8.5 inches with a 7.4-inch sight radius. Height is 5.7 inches and the weight with an empty magazine is 26.9 ounces.

The PDP Match Polymer is an optics-ready pistol, allowing the user to seamlessly integrate a preferred optic with a factory optics mounting cut. Walther will supply a free optics-mounting plate at customer request. Additionally, there are industry-standard iron sights on the Walther PDP Match Polymer.

“Our goal is to consistently provide our consumers with dependable and durable handguns, which ultimately increases their confidence as they feel comfortable with their firearm, and they look good in the process. The PDP Match not only has sophisticated aesthetics, but it keeps shooters in the action longer with their time and attention focused on their target, not worrying about their performance,” Jens Krogh, vice president of marketing and product development for Walther Arms, Inc., said. “This is more than a firearm; it’s a collection of power, precision and perfection, promising unparalleled performance and redefining the standards of excellence in the world of handguns.”
