On July 12, NRA Executive Vice President and CEO Doug Hamlin attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for KelTec’s new production facility in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Also among the many distinguished guests for the opening was Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon.

At the event, Hamlin highlighted the crucial role industry partners like KelTec play in advancing the NRA’s mission.

“A big thank you goes out to KelTec for its steadfast support of the National Rifle Association of America,” Hamlin said. “KelTec’s ongoing commitment to our programs—especially those benefiting youth initiatives, the World Shooting Championship and our Annual Meetings—is truly valued and deeply appreciated.”

KelTec acquired the 33,000-square-foot Wyoming facility in 2022. Originally built in 2005 for the oil and gas industry, the site will now complement KelTec’s 125,000-square-foot manufacturing space in Cocoa, Florida. The new location is dedicated to producing one of the company’s latest firearms, the PR57 pistol.

The grand opening served as both a milestone for KelTec and a powerful reflection of its enduring collaboration with the NRA—built on shared principles and a mutual dedication to preserving Second Amendment rights.

“Having Doug Hamlin join us for the ribbon cutting of our new KelTec facility in Rock Springs was an incredible honor,” said Parker Rosenberger, Director of Business Development at KelTec. “His presence not only underscored the strength of our partnership with the NRA, but also reaffirmed our shared commitment to protecting American manufacturing, innovation and Second Amendment freedoms.”

In June, the NRA announced KelTec as an official stage sponsor of the 2025 NRA World Shooting Championship, returning to Camp Atterbury, Indiana, from September 30 to October 4.

KelTec will sponsor two competition stages, providing firearms for both professional and amateur divisions. For Side Match 4: Falling Steel, competitors will engage in a fast-paced, reactive steel target course using the KelTec SUB2000 Gen3 pistol-caliber carbine chambered in 9 mm Luger and equipped with a red-dot optic. At Side Match 6: NRA America’s Rifle Challenge, competitors will tackle a tactical rifle course using KelTec’s new SRO Peacekeeper Carbine chambered in 5.56 mm NATO and outfitted with a 1-8X LPVO scope. All KelTec firearms featured during the championship will also be included on the competitor prize table.
