At the 2017 SHOT Show the folks at Volquartsen showed me their latest and greatest, including the new Scorpion 22 Mag rimfire target pistol (pictured above in hard chrome). The original Scorpion pistol was developed in its current configuration back in 2011, and still offers great accuracy and balance. Now after several years of research and development, the company says the new Scorpion “maintains the same level of performance you’d come to expect from a Volquartsen.”

The new Scorpion features a CNC-machined from stainless steel Tungsten alloy bolt, keeping with Volquartsen’s philosophy of using only high-quality materials. Lightweight, yet sturdy weighing a svelte 4.2 lbs. (4.8 lbs. with compensator), the pistol is available with wood or VZ composite grips. Optics and mounts are available for purchase separately.

Company President Scott Volquartsen said, “We are very excited to release the 22 WMR pistol. This is one of those products that customers have been asking for and we are proud to be able to deliver.”

MSRP: $1895 in black nitride finish, $2083 in hard chrome. Learn more about different shipping options at www.volquartsen.com.
