Remington Ammunition sponsored shooter Connor Thigpen captured the High All Around title at the 2025 Triple J Classic skeet competition held at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas, from April 10-13.

One of the premier events on the National Skeet Shooting Association circuit, the Triple J Classic featured more than 200 top skeet shooters.

Connor Thigpen finished third on the High Over All leaderboard with 395/400 targets.

Connor Thigpen, a 16-year-old high school student from Texas, won the High All Around with a score of 495 of 500. The High All Around is a combination of the scores shot during the 12-gauge, 20-gauge, 28-gauge, .410 bore and Doubles events. In addition, Thigpen’s Remington teammates—Houston Deshotels and Sheaffer Stanfill—landed in second and third places, respectively.

Thigpen was perfect in three of the five events, winning the Doubles event in a shoot-off after posting a perfect 100 score, taking runner-up in the 12-gauge event (despite shooting a perfect score) and securing the Junior Championship in 28-gauge with a perfect 100 out of 100 targets.

“Capturing the High All Around and Doubles titles definitely gives me a sense of accomplishment,” Thigpen said. “I put so much work into Doubles during the off-season.”

The shooting phenom also won the Junior Championship in the .410 Bore and 20-gauge events.

Thigpen used Remington’s STS loads in 12-gauge, 28-gauge and .410 Bore, as well as Gun Club in 20-gauge to shatter clay targets at the National Shooting Complex in April.

Additionally, Team Remington competitors Houston Deshotels and Sheaffer Stanfill posted solid performances at the 2025 Triple J Classic.

Houston Deshotels finished as runner-up in the High All Around event. A resident of Marietta, Georgia, he won the 28-gauge event, was perfect in the 12-gauge event, missed just one target in the 20-gauge event and finished third in the Doubles event.

Finally, Sheaffer Stanfill earned a third-place finish in the High All Around. Not only that, he was perfect in the 12-gauge event and dropped only one target in both the 20- and 28-gauge events, propelling him to a podium finish.

As for the High Over All leaderboard, Thigpen was ranked third, while Deshotels and Stanfill finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
