U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit To Lead Training At 2025 CMP Talladega Spring Classic

The CMP Talladega Spring Classic at Talladega Marksmanship Park will feature pistol events fired on paper targets and rifle events on electronic targets in March 2025.

The 2025 Talladega Spring Classic will be held at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, Alabama, from March 18-13 and will feature a lineup of outdoor rifle and pistol competitions for all experience levels. Plus, Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship 101 courses offer guests the opportunity to learn firearm basics through classroom and range training from talented members of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit.

Next year’s CMP Talladega Spring Classic will feature a mix of modern and vintage rifle, high power rifle and pistol individual and team matches.

Events include a Benchrest Vintage Military Rifle Match, Carbine, Garand/Springfield/Modern Rifle matches, Vintage Sniper Match, 80-Shot Service Rifle matches, .22/.45/Centerfire Pistol Aggregates and a Mid-Range Match. Additionally, a two-person Sporting Clays Match has been added to the schedule, fired on the Talladega Marksmanship Park’s 15-station Sporting Clays Loop.

All Talladega Spring Classic events are open to adults and juniors.

Rifle matches will be conducted on Kongsberg Target Systems outdoor electronic targets, which the CMP has upgraded to feature eScore and other program updates.
