Ada Korkhin of Brookline Massachusetts, and Henry Leverett of Bainbridge, Georgia, have both qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Korkhin qualified for her first Olympic Games in Women’s 25m Sport Pistol. An Ohio State University student-athlete, she finished second overall in the U.S. Olympic Trials-Shooting, a three-part competition.

Korkhin will be making her Olympic debut at age 20, but she is no stranger to international success. The pistol shooter earned a gold medal at the 2024 Championship of the Americas (CAT) Games in Women’s 25m Sport Pistol Team where she was joined on the podium with teammates Katelyn Abeln and Lisa Emmert-Traciak.

In 2023, Korkhin added another impressive medal to her collection—a bronze medal at the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championship in Women’s 25m Sport Pistol. Korkhin will be competing with pistol teammates Alexis Lagan and Katelyn Abeln in Paris 2024.

Henry Leverett qualified for his second Olympic Games in Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol after his teammate Keith Sanderson earn a second U.S. Olympic quota in the event. Leverett finished second overall in Men’s 25m Sport Pistol at the conclusion of the U.S. Olympic Trials- Shooting, but the team only had one quota at the time for the Paris 2024 Games. Sanderson, who finished first overall, secured his qualification spot at the end of trials.

Sanderson recently earned the second U.S. Olympic quota in Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol at the 2024 CAT Games, allowing Leverett to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Leverett, who made his Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020, earned the first Paris 2024 U.S. Olympic quota in Men’s 25m Sport Pistol at the 2023 Pan American Games. He also earned a bronze medal in the event. This marks the second quad that Leverett has secured a quota for the U.S. in Men’s 25m Sport Pistol.

Leverett, who also competed at the Ohio State University, was a 2023 ISSF World Championships team member and earned gold in Junior Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol at the 2021 ISSF World Championships.

Korkhin and Leverett will be competing in Paris 2024 with the following teammates:

  • Ivan Roe: Men’s Air Rifle and 50m Smallbore Rifle
  • Mary Tucker: Women’s Air Rifle and 50m Smallbore Rifle
  • Sagen Maddalena: Women’s Air Rifle and 50m Smallbore Rifle
  • Alexis “Lexi” Lagan: Women’s Air Pistol
