Dating back to 1825, Sellier & Bellot (S&B) certainly has a long history of manufacturing ammunition. The company has released a 6.5 Creedmoor round designed for both training at the range and for general plinking use.

About their new 6.5 Creedmoor round, S&B says “[It’s] a solid performer, offering reliable function in bolt or semi-automatic rifles.” The company selected a time-tested 140-grain, full metal jacket, lead core 6.5mm bullet that’s loaded into a premium, Boxer-primed, brass case. The case is suitable for reloading. Overall length of the cartridge is 2.752-inches, and the round has a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.510 and a G7 ballistic coefficient of 0.256.

“There is great demand for 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition. However, many of the currently available options are cost-prohibitive,” said Mike Fisher, vice president of U.S. sales and marketing. “We developed something here that allows more people to get out and shoot their rifles. It’s ideal for training or a fun day of plinking without breaking the bank.”

Available now, S&B’s new 6.5 Creedmoor is priced at $11.99 per box of 20 rounds.
