Smith & Wesson is celebrating the historic move of its longtime headquarters at 2100 Roosevelt Ave in Springfield, Mass., to Maryville, Tenn., with a limited-edition series of engraved M&P 15T II rifles. Priced at $1,372, the company says it plans to release 2,100 of the commemorative rifles.

Smith & Wesson rifle
Smith & Wesson broke ground on its new Tennessee headquarters on November 5, and to celebrate, the company will produce 2,100 limited-edition M&P 15T II rifles.

The new rifle sports an eagle engraved on the magazine well, along with an American flag and the text: “Since 1852 Protecting the 2nd,” representing the company’s commitment to the Second Amendment, as well as its customers.

As for the features of the new M&P 15T II engraved rifle, the free-floating 16-inch barrel has 5R rifling with a 1:8-inch twist rate, and the mid-length gas system helps reduce recoil and improve cycling efficiency. S&W says the forged, oversized trigger guard “provides maximum clearance when wearing gloves.” Additionally, the rifle is equipped with a new flat face trigger.
