Team Federal's Derrick Mein dominated at the 2021 Caribbean Cup, held at Vero Beach Clay Shooting Sports Complex in Vero Beach, Fla., on Feb. 3-8. Mein not only triumphed over 106 shooters to win the Caribbean Cup championship outright, he was also the FITASC runner-up, Super Sport Champion, 20-28-410 Champion, Ironman Champion and last, but not least, the Federal Challenge Championship.

Notably, Mein broke 192 clays out of 200 to win the Caribbean Cup, as well as 96 out of 100 to take the Federal Challenge Championship.

Mein shoots Federal Premium Gold Medal Paper loads for his 12-gauge events, and Top Gun Sporting 20-gauge, 28-gauge and .410 loads for the sub-gauge specific competitions. Speaking of the sub-gauge events, Mein's performance was equally as impressive—breaking 92 percent of the targets he was challenged with.

Given his stellar performance, Mein was pleased with the outcome of the match. He was quick to give credit to his Federal ammunition for helping with the victory.

“I performed very well. I was aided by the hard breaks delivered from the Federal ammo I used over the weekend in 12-, 20-, 28- and .410-gauges,” said Mein.
