Savage Arms, Canadian University Shooting Federation Join Forces

Savage Arms has announced a three-year partnership with the Canadian University Shooting Federation (CUSF), a group dedicated to developing the competitive shooting sports between Canadian universities and colleges. Savage Arms will supply rifles and shotguns for CUSF competitors.

Regarding the sponsorship, Savage Arms Marketing Director, Beth Shimanski, said:

“Savage is committed to supporting shooting sports, and it is honored to be able to partner with the CUSF. Savage continues to lead the industry in innovative new firearms that help competitive shooters do what they do best. The Canadian University Shooting Federation’s mission dovetails perfectly with that of Savage Arms, and we’re excited to introduce a new audience to the potential of Savage’s rimfire rifles and shotguns.”

CUSF also expressed its excitement to work with a company such as Savage to help improve Canadian firearms education and sport shooting skills development at the intercollegiate level.

“Partnering with industry helps lower the barrier of entry and ensures a young, vibrant shooting community for years to come,” said David Fahlman, CUSF president. “Our student members are grateful for the generous support.” 

Since it was founded in 2018, CUSF has worked tirelessly to promote collegiate shooting sports across Canada. The group not only sponsors matches, but also assists new teams navigate the ecosystem, along with helping existing clubs to grow and prosper. In addition, CUSF manages the Canadian University Trap and Skeet League.

Readers may remember in April 2021 when Savage announced its sponsorship of the Canadian Rimfire Precision Series.
