The 2022 Crawfish Cup and Louisiana State Action Pistol Championship will be held Friday, April 22 to Saturday, April 23 as a doubleheader at the Southwest Louisiana Rifle and Pistol Club. The club is located near Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Pro shooter Julie Golob’s bulletinX email newsletter shared details about the match:

“This week we have big news from Match Director, George Mowbray, regarding the Crawfish Cup Regional and a new state championship! Not only has the range been repaired from hurricane damages, but it’s now a double match weekend!”

A popular NRA action pistol event, the Crawfish Cup was canceled in 2020 due to covid, and hurricane damage to the range last year also prevented the host venue from conducting the match. In 2019, Bruce Piatt won the Crawfish Cup with a score of 1920-181X.

Says Southwest Louisiana Rifle and Pistol Club Crawfish Cup match officials:

“For the first time, we will be holding the Louisiana Action Pistol State Championship on Friday and the Crawfish Cup Regional Championship on Saturday. So, two registered matches in two days, both with the same four traditional Bianchi Cup events. This is a great warm-up for those planning to attend the Bianchi Cup in May.”

Online registration for the 2022 Crawfish Cup and Louisiana State Action Pistol Championship via Practiscore is not open as of yet, but you can still register for the match by filling out the entry form located in the match program. Visit the Crawfish Cup website for more information.
