A new extended magazine aimed at Glock users provides extra capacity without sacrificing reliability or breaking your budget. The Rattlesnake Tactical RTAC-9-MAG-34 is a 34-round, polymer-bodied magazine built specifically for Glock-pattern double-stack 9 mm firearms. Designed, tested and manufactured in the United States, the new magazine will be available exclusively from Ammunition Depot starting June 4.

This magazine fits a wide range of Glock models, including the G17, G17L, G18, G19, G19X, G26, G34, G45 and G47. It’s also compatible with most pistol-caliber carbines (PCCs) and Glock-style platforms that accept standard double-stack 9 mm Glock magazines. The cost-effective RTAC-9-MAG-34 sports an impact-resistant polymer body for durability, while remaining weight-conscious.

Although affordability is a key focus, performance hasn't taken a backseat. The RTAC-9-MAG-34 magazine underwent independent testing alongside two leading competitor models. The evaluation included static testing (drop tests and hand cycling), plus live-fire sessions totaling 510 rounds per magazine. All tests used factory-new CCI Blazer 115-grain 9 mm ammunition, with the same firearms rotated across all magazine types—a G47, a Gen4 G19 and a Gen5 G17.

In the drop tests, all magazines—regardless of brand—survived impacts on their bottom corners and sides when dropped from a height of three feet onto concrete. Unsurprisingly, all failed when dropped feed-lip first, with cracks developing at the spine. In terms of live-fire performance, however, the RTAC magazines showed a significant edge. RTAC Magazine A experienced only one failure to feed (a 0.2% failure rate), while Magazine B had two (0.39%). In comparison, Competitor 1 logged seven failures (1.37%) and Competitor 2 had 14 (2.75%).

Static cycling tests confirmed smooth feeding and proper slide lock engagement across all magazines tested. Supplemental trials with earlier-generation Glocks showed no compatibility issues, making the RTAC-9-MAG-34 a viable option for users with older models as well.

What sets this magazine apart is the price point. Ammunition Depot says the RTAC-9-MAG-34 will launch at a lower cost than most comparable extended magazines, with pricing expected to remain consistently competitive over time. That positions it as a practical choice for both casual shooters and those who demand higher capacity for training or competition.

The new RTAC-9-MAG-34 will be available beginning June 4, 2025, at ammunitiondepot.com. For those looking for an American-made extended magazine that blends capacity, durability and reliability, it’s a compelling new option in a crowded market.
