Team Remington’s Brandon Powell earned his eighth Georgia State Sporting Clays Championship title at the 2025 tournament held June 25-29 at the historic Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, Georgia.

Facing off against a stacked field of 470 competitors in the Main Event, Brandon Powell rose to the occasion, capturing the High Over All (HOA) title with a stellar 191 out of 200. He didn’t stop there—Powell also notched runner-up finishes in both the Thursday (95/100) and Friday (92/100) Preliminary rounds, along with claiming the top honor in FITASC with a 94/100, wrapping up an impressive run at this year’s Georgia State Sporting Clays Championship.

“This event means a lot to me as a Georgia native,” Powell said. “There is great talent in the state and a rich history of great shooters competing year after year.”

He earned $3,000 for his Main Event HOA win and brought home a total of $9,073.90 in prize money from this year’s tournament.

Powell first won the Georgia State Championship in 2004, and this year marks his fourth straight win. With 582 total competitors across the tournament, Powell’s performance further cements his dominance in sporting clays.

Team Remington athletes rely on Remington Premier shotshells, including the Premier STS and Premier Nitro lines.
