Easton Archery and Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) are joining forces, with the former announcing a new sponsorship and several attractive discount programs for both S3DA members and new clubs. The new club offer in particular is designed to help affiliates jumpstart new archery ranges.

Unfamiliar with S3DA? In short, the organization offers kids a chance to learn the sport of archery, as well as reap the benefits of competition. Since it was founded in 2012 by the Scholastic Archery Association, S3DA has acted as a bridge between beginning target archery experiences and more advanced activities, such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program is geared towards youth archers in grades 3 through 12.

“The Easton name will provide rich experiences for our youth archers across the country for years to come,” said S3DA Executive Director Jennie Richardson.

The goal for both groups is to provide rich experiences for youth archers. Money and discounts from the Easton sponsorship will provide the S3DA with more muscle to grow at the grassroots level. State chapters, clubs and teams across the country all stand to benefit from the partnership.

Programs like S3DA, which are designed to follow introductory programs like the ones offered by 4-H and other groups, are critical in maintaining continuity of all skill levels of archery. Ultimately, “next-step” programs such as S3DA encourage lifelong participation in 3-D and bowhunting.
