Sierra-sponsored shooter Levi Wilson posted a winning performance at the 2025 MDT Frostbite Precision Rifle Series competition, which was held near a decommissioned military munitions testing facility in Butlerville, Indiana, from February 22-23.

A PRS Pro Series Qualifier match, Wilson claimed first place in Open division with 191 match points at the 2025 MDT Frostbite, which had 129 shooters in attendance. His score was three points more than match runner-up James Bechtel’s score.

“The Frostbite lived up to its name with snow on the ground and temperatures below freezing. The course of fire was straightforward but challenging,” Wilson said. “Fred and Adam always put on a great match and it’s one of my favorite places to shoot. They put a ton of work and effort into the range, and it keeps improving every year.”

According to the PRS website, Wilson’s gear includes an Impact Precision Shooting action and a MasterPiece Arms stock chambered in 6 mm GT, with a barrel from Custom Rifle Barrels. For an optic, his favorite is the Leupold Mark 5HD 5-25X 56 mm riflescope. Additionally, he uses Sierra Bullets projectiles and Alpha Munitions brass with Hodgdon powder for his match loads.

More from Sierra Bullets about the win: “Wilson’s impressive achievement highlights the remarkable skill and determination that Sierra-sponsored shooters are known for. His commitment to precision and quality reflects the core values of Sierra Bullets, reinforcing the brand’s reputation of innovation, expertise and top-tier performance.”
